Today, Resident Evil fans went crazy again when leaked information referred to the existence of a development process around Resident Evil 4 Remake, one of the most successful installments in the franchise of Capcom. The leaker Dusk Golem, an insider who has gained notoriety in social networks and forums for his leaks about Capcom’s projects, dedicated some publications on his Twitter account regarding Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Resident Evil 4 Remake Confirmed to Release in 2022 by M-Two – Rumor
A project that, without being confirmed, is already getting a lot of attention. Initially, the insider pointed out that the information is real and that a Capcom studio has been working on a remake of Resident Evil 4 since 2018 and has a launch window of 2022, although this could change at any time.
On the other hand, Dusk Golem mentioned that Capcom will focus on Resident Evil 8. So the remake of Resident Evil 4 should not be taken as the next installment in the series.
The insider went back to the details of Resident Evil 4 Remake and reported that the project is entirely the responsibility of M-TWO. A studio made up of Capcom and PlatinumGames creatives who participated in the development of Resident Evil 3 Remake.

In that sense, Dusk Golem pointed out that Resident Evil 4 Remake is the reason why Capcom formed M-Two and its work in Resident Evil 3 Remake was only a kind of test and now the team is aware of what fans liked or not.
In this regard, he also mentioned that the Resident Evil 4 remake has more resources and personnel than any other remake of the franchise Capcom has worked on. In fact, he assured that members of the teams that developed Resident Evil 2 Remake and Devil May Cry 5 have joined the project.
