To recall, the Horizon Zero Dawn was first launched as a PS4 exclusive back in February 28th, 2017 in North America and March 1st, 2017 in Europe. This would be the second PS4 exclusive title after Death Stranding coming to the PC this summer.

Notably, Horizon Zero Dawn will the first-party AAA PS4 title coming to the PC. The whole idea behind releasing a PS4 exclusive title on PC is to introduce PC players about what they have been missing out since long. But this also doesn’t necessarily mean that you should expect every PS4 exclusive AAA title coming to PC.

This has been revealed by Hermen Hulst, Guerilla’s former boss and Head of PlayStation Worldwide Studios. In an interview published on Sony’s PlayStation blog last week, Hermen said,

I think it’s important that we stay open to new ideas of how to introduce more people to PlayStation, and show people maybe what they’ve been missing out on.

And to maybe put a few minds at ease, releasing one first-party AAA title to PC doesn’t necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC. In my mind, Horizon Zero Dawn was just a great fit in this particular instance. We don’t have plans for day and date [PC releases], and we remain 100% committed to dedicated hardware.

Horizon Zero Dawn will be out on PC this Summer, 2020. The game is available on PS4.
