Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Requires Over 130GB Storage Space on PS5 and Xbox Series X

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War

A few days before the official launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, arriving on November 13th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC and November 19th on PlayStation 5, Activision has officially revealed further details on the new chapter of the famous shooter series, more specifically as regards to its file size of the different versions of the title.

Since its official announcement, many players have imagined what the size of the new title would be, especially considering those of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone.

Through a press release published on the official Call of Duty website, Activision and Treyarch have revealed the size of the game files divided according to the different platforms, including the current consoles, the new generation ones and, of course, the PC version.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players will be able to install and remove different game modes to free up storage space, although Activision has already announced that much more space will be required to download and play the content that will come after the official launch of the title.

It will be possible to uninstall specific game mode packs such as Campaign or Zombie, in order to reduce the overall size of the game file. This type of content can be managed in the game via the “Accounts & Network” section of the Settings menu for console players.

Here is the list of game sizes at launch on different platforms:

  • PlayStation 4: 95GB
  • PlayStation 5: 133GB
  • Xbox One: 93GB
  • Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S: 136GB
  • PC: 35GB (Multiplayer) / 82GB (Full Game) / 125GB (Full Game with Ultra Graphics)
