Its been almost two and a half years since the Wii U received its last 5.5.3 firmware update back in early September 2018. Now, the interesting is that the 5.5.4 is missing if you check the Wii U latest system update on the official US Nintendo website.

According to some users, Nintendo released the latest firmware, 5.5.4 for the Wii U in June of 2019 or something but it forgot to list it into the latest firmware update on its official site.

Now, the latest firmware update has arrived for Wii U with version number 5.5.5 that only improves system stability and usability of the Wii U hybrid console.
