Some Handy Tips for OSRS’ Shattered Relics League

How to prioritize your tasks
OSRS

It’s been more than a week since the Shattered Relics League started, but that doesn’t mean you’re too late! You can still catch up with those who played since the start of the season; all you need is a plan and the dedication to follow through it. Efficiency is the key to racing ahead in this type of situation. There will also be some tips on how to make OSRS GP for various skilling supplies and more.

The Tasks

There are 1,260 Tasks to do in this league, rewarding players with 82,695 League Points and 3,486 Sage’s Renown. League Points are for the cosmetic rewards you can get for the permanent mode of the game. Sage’s Renown, on the other hand, is the currency used to unlock stuff in the league, whether that’s new bosses or slots for the Relic Fragments.

Each skill has its own set of tasks. Of course, which skill it is determines what kind of action you have to do. Generally, however, skilling is a good way to get tasks done and earn some Sage’s Renown. If you’re hurting for cash, leveling Thieving can let you gather both gold and Renown.

Before going into the combat-related ones, it would be good to train the relevant skills first, such as Prayer, Hitpoints, Attack, Defense, Strength, Ranged, or Magic. There’s also Cooking or Herblore for consumables. This also lets you gather SR for unlocking bosses, which you’ll need in some tasks or quests. Otherwise, you can do general skilling first before doing the Questing, Clue Hunting, or other general tasks.

Tasks are also divided into difficulties: Beginner, Easy, Medium, Hard, Elite, Master.

Set Goals

What is your purpose for joining the league? Is there a reward you want or do you want to earn a trophy for bragging rights? Look up the list of tasks so you can calculate how many you need to do and which ones to get what you want.

For the trophy, you’ll have to do at least a majority of the tasks. All of them would be the real goal, but it can be daunting when you’re only starting out. Setting smaller goals that contribute toward your big goal will keep you on track.

When you’re focusing on your main goal, it can be easy to lose sight of where you are. You’ll feel like you’re not getting closer to that goal, but in reality, you’re actually in the middle already. Setting milestones in the middle will let you know that you’re progressing and getting one step closer to completing all the tasks.

It can be setting small goals per session or a milestone that after this week you should be able to do this and that. There are only about 5 or so weeks (about 35 or so days) before the league ends. By making a plan, you can have a clear picture of whether you’re falling behind or not.

Unlock the Waypoints First

While there are no locked areas in this league, unlocking all the waypoints first will make moving from place to place easier. Running all the time is an option, but it can waste so much time travelling long distance. In this kind of time-sensitive challenge, you’ll need every second you can save.

OSRS GP Farming

With leagues having the same mechanics of Ironman mode, players can’t trade with each other or put up OSRS items for sale. They have to get their materials and equipment by themselves. Thankfully, they can still buy from NPCs (with some caveats).

This also means that methods to get GP by trading aren’t possible when participating in the league. That’s why they have to find other alternative methods.

One is by leveling Thieving. There are three options for farming gold with this skill, first is by stealing silk and selling it back to the merchant (level 20 Thieving). The second is by stealing from the H.A.M. Storeroom. That method requires completing half of the ‘Death to the Dorgeshuun’ quest. The third is pickpocketing the Knights of Ardougne (55 Thieving, but 95+ recommended). It’s a more profitable alternative to blackjacking, but with higher requirements.

The Agility Pyramid is also an option (30 Agility, but 70+ recommended). This is one of the few activities that may be multitasked by high-alching items or fletching. Just be sure to separate the Pyramid Tops to avoid getting them mixed up with your training items.

Make Sure to Activate Relic Sets For Your Tasks

Fragment sets can increase your efficiency exponentially. Make sure you have the correct sets for combat or skilling. You don’t want to battle the Great Olm with Greedy Gatherer equipped when it’s better to have Knife’s Edge or Double Tap. That said, it might be easier to do one thing (combat or skilling) per game session.

Conclusions

Have a plan and conquer the Shattered Relics League! Always have a gold and milestones for every day or every week of the league. This way, you know exactly where you stand and how far you have to go. You can also have all the OSRS GP you need with some farming methods.

Have fun in the Shattered Relics League!
