Respawn Entertainment Is Working on a New IP Not Yet Announced

Respawn Entertainment

Respawn Entertainment, a video game development company founded by Jason West and Vince Zampella and responsible for creating the likes of Titanfall, Apex Legends, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, among others, is looking for new development staff for what will be a new IP not yet announced.

While the Vancouver studio is currently busy expanding the content of Apex Legends, Respawn has therefore made the decision to set up another division, to focus on an entirely new product.

As you can read for yourself by clicking here, in fact, Respawn has published a new job advertisement in the pages of its official website where it is communicated that the studio is looking for a Software Engineer to create a new team, linked to the development of a new IP.

It is interesting to underline, after various issues related to the topic, how Respawn tends to clearly specify that no type of crunch will be implemented against its employees: “Hard-zero policy against crunch and overtime. We trust you to do your best work, and support you in nurturing your life-work balance.”

Finally, more closely linked to the interest of the players, the company tends to specify that the efforts of the new employee must be aimed at the purpose of giving light to a video game that is able to return a good feeling to gameplay level.

Several storms have been unleashed on the subject known as “crunch,” such as those related to Cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt RED and The Last of Us: Part 2 by Naughty Dog. It even seems that the crunch can reach levels that give the same members of a development team hope that the game they are working on may eventually fail.
