E3 2021 Live Event Reportedly Canceled

E3

According to recent reports, E3 2021 will be held in a purely digital format. This can at least be found in a current document published by the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board.

Last year, E3 was one of the events that was completely canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated effects. As the organizer in the form of the ESA has confirmed several times in the past few months, the E3 should definitely return this year.

After it was still now known in which form the E3 will take place in 2021, it is becoming apparent on this day that we should prepare for a purely digital version of the E3 in 2021, while a physical presence in the Convention Center of Los Angeles is waived.

The clue is an 84-page document from the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, which states that the physical version of E3 2021 has been canceled. However, work is being done on transmission options through LA Live and LACC. It also states that the licenses for the years 2022 and 2023 are currently being negotiated.

In what form the E3 2021 will ultimately take place remains to be seen despite everything, as the corresponding plans must first be approved by the members of the ESA. Despite everything, there are many indications that COVID-19 will also have a major impact on events in 2021 and lead to numerous online events.

E3 2021 is scheduled to take place in June this year.
