Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Coming to PS5 on June 11, 2021

Insomniac Games on Thursday via an official PlayStation blog post announced that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will officially launch on June 11, 2021, exclusively for PS5. The game is a sequel to the 2016 reboot of Ratchet & Clank. The first gameplay demo for the game was presented during Gamescom 2020: Opening Night Live broadcast.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is an upcoming third-person shooter platform game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 5.

”Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a brand-new full-length adventure. When the evil Dr. Nefarious uses a device that can access alternate dimensions to find a galaxy where he always wins, Ratchet and Clank are separated. As they try to re-unite, they will meet a new Lombax resistance fighter, explore new and familiar locales (but with new dimensional twists!), and wield a whole new arsenal of out of this world weapons.”

Notably, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is already up for preorder via the PlayStation store priced at $69.99. You can preorder the Standard Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game:

Players who preorder the Standard Edition of the game will get Carbonox armor pack from Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (2003) with high-definition materials, lighting responses, and ray-traced reflections.

Players who will preorder will also get an early-unlock of the Pixelizer weapon, the retro-blaster weapon from Ratchet & Clank (2016), updated visually for the PS5 console.

On the other hand, players pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition priced at $79.99 will receive the following content:
