The Techrot Encore update will deliver a high-octane, rock-powered expansion to Warframe 1999 when it goes live on March 19 at 11 a.m. ET on all platforms. Announced during Digital Extremes’ recent dev stream, the update brings forth the 60th Warframe, Temple, a glam-rock-infused fighter wielding the power of music and flames to annihilate foes.
Welcome Temple – The Warframe That Shreds
Temple’s skills are all about pyrotechnic-saturated combat, calling forth Techrot Subwoofer minions to aid allies while incinerating enemies with blazing riffs. And if that is not metal enough, Temple’s Exalted Weapon, Lizzie, is an animate, sentient guitar able to unleash fireball projectiles and turn into a flamethrower.
- Passive – Backbeat: Sync skills with a metronome for amplified effects and 50% Ability Efficiency boost.
- Pyrotechnics: Create columns of fire to burn enemies.
- Overdrive: Warp sonic waves to release a Heat-charged shockwave and enhance enemy susceptibility to Critical Hits.
- Ripper’s Wail: Shred a solo, giving temporary invulnerability, healing, and additional Heat Damage to allies.
- Exalted Solo: Engulf Lizzie in flames and scorch enemies with intense elemental sound waves.
New Protoframes – A New Spin on Vintage Warframes
Techrot Encore is also adding four all-new Protoframes, alternative forms of current Warframes with distinct lore, looks, and fighting styles:
- Minerva (Saryn’s Protoframe) – A brutal tactician, combining poison and sophistication.
- Velimir (Frost’s Protoframe) – A war-hardened veteran, providing defense mastery with an icy soul.
- Kaya (Nova’s Protoframe) – A teenage prodigy, using matter manipulation with bold accuracy.
- Flare (Temple’s Protoframe) – A living painting, a combination of art, music, and destruction.
