Oblivion Remastered

Bethesda Softworks has launched The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam and Microsoft Store), and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, following its reveal live stream on April 22, 2025. Priced at $49.99, the remaster shadow-dropped with a 119.2 GB install size, delivering a modernized take on the 2006 open-world RPG classic.

Developed by Virtuos Studios and Bethesda Game Studios using Unreal Engine 5, the remaster features fully overhauled visuals with ray tracing, updated textures, and new character models, alongside refined gameplay.

Combat now includes Souls-like blocking mechanics, improved archery, and a reworked stamina system, with a modernized HUD and enhanced NPC AI. The game retains its open-world essence, set in Cyrodiil, where players thwart the Mythic Dawn cult’s plan to open gates to the demonic realm of Oblivion.
