Earlier this year, Star Wars fans welcomed the news that Star Wars Episode I: Racer would be coming to current-generation consoles of PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The title originally released in 1999 was expected to arrive today, May 12. But recently it was announced that the wait will be longer to play it.
The studio Aspyr, responsible for the publication of the new version of Star Wars Episode I: Racer for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Reported a few hours ago that, contrary to plan, the title will not reach these 2 consoles on May 12 due to the complications generated by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) and work from home.
This delay is the second of the PlayStation 4 version since the game was originally planned to arrive on this console on May 12. Then it was delayed until May 26 and today that date was modified again. In the case of the Nintendo Switch version, Aspyr would launch the title also on May 12. But today, it reported that it will not be possible to meet this date.
What’s worse for Star Wars fans is that the studio did not give a new release date. So as of the time of writing the release date is undefined. The good news is that Aspyr promised to update the information as soon as possible.
If you are a PC gamer, then you need not to worry, as this title is now available on Steam.
Fortunately, Star Wars fans have many reasons to be happy. We say this because the information has recently emerged suggesting that there may be new Star Wars games on the way. In addition, it was confirmed that a virtual reality installment of the franchise will arrive on PlayStation VR.
