Sea of Thieves Update 2.6.1 Patch

The latest update for Sea of Thieves is now live across all platforms! The patch 2.6.1 contains balancing fixes for Captains of Adventures, as well as fixes to a number of known issues. It also corrects some of the gameplay issues found in the last few weeks.

Players’ shots should no longer become off-target, and will register correctly when viewed from a distance. Friendly merfolk will no longer appear over a captain’s desk, nor should they lunge at players. Additionally, captured pigs will now take longer to grow hungry. The amount of time before they die is also increased. Finally, players should no longer be briefly displayed with the wrong gamertag when migrating.

Update 2.6.1 will also fix an issue that caused the progress rate of larger crews to accelerate. This is now corrected, and individual totals will be reset to the correct values for all players. Pirates who complete the Adventure will also earn an exclusive Title and cosmetic reward. These rewards will serve as a memento of their Adventure. Additionally, new classes have been added, and requirements for class progression have been adjusted. The new requirements will also affect the Pirate Milestones.

The new update also resolves a number of bugs in the game. Some players had reported that their character was stuck in aim-down sights when they transitioned out of EVA. Another bug affected players when they attempted to vault over geometry.
