Capcom, during the Resident Evil Showcase, officially announced the release date for the Resident Evil Village for May 7, 2021. The game will release worldwide for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on May 7. Also note, that players buying the Resident Evil Village on PS4 and Xbox One will get a free upgrade to PS5 and Xbox series X, which means they don’t need to buy the PS5 or the Series X version of the game when they upgrade.
Notably, Capcom has also released a standalone demo for the Resident Evil Village named “Maiden”. The demo is now available for free via PlayStation Store. If you want you can read more about the Maiden demo here.
Also, to mark the 25th anniversary of Resident Evil, Capcom has also released Resident Evil Re:Verse, an online multiplayer game featuring fan-favorite characters. Resident Evil Re:Verse will be available for free to those that buy Resident Evil Village.
