Sony has released a new trailer on the official PlayStation YouTube channel dedicated to the games coming to its new console, PlayStation 5.
Lasting about 2 minutes, the video (reported at the bottom of the news for your convenience) shows the likes of Ghostwire Tokyo, Horizon 2: Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7 and Deathloop. The explosive video also shows some impressive frames of Project Athia, the new adventure currently in development in temporary exclusive for PlayStation 5 at the Luminous Productions studios, on behalf of Square Enix.
On the images dedicated to Project Athia, there is a message that clearly indicates that the game will also be available on PC in the future, but that it will not be launched on other consoles at least within the first 2 years of its debut. So, it seems that Project Athia will be an exclusive title for PS5 for at least 2 years.
In the middle of summer, Square Enix unveiled some details about its new open-world, shown for the first time through a teaser trailer, during the event dedicated to the PlayStation 5 launch lineup, held on June 11th. Here are the words of Yosuke Matsuda, President and representative director of the Japanese company, released to the weekly Tokyo Keizai Plus:
“The game Project Athia (title tentative), which we will release for PS5, is an open-world style game in which users can freely move around the game world. PS5 dramatically improves video technology, such as with the implementation of light-reflecting ‘ray-tracing’ technology. Compared to what you see on PC, it is nearly identical. By utilizing these special traits, we’re able to create incredibly precise imagery. We still plan on developing well-balanced games tailored to a platform’s traits, including smartphone and cloud-based games, but we will never stop developing for high-end platforms such as PS5. Because these things are packed with the best technology.”
So we leave you to the new and explosive video published by Sony dedicated to the best games – published or coming out – for PlayStation 5 below.
