PlatinumGames Last Platinum 4 Project to be Announced on April 1 2020

PlatinumGames has updated the Platinum 4 website with a new date. Apparently, it is announced that the studio’s next and the last Platinum 4 Project announcement will be on April 1, 2020.

PlatinumGames launched the Platinum 4 website a few weeks ago where a total of four news games are to be revealed. While the first three are already known. The first thing to be announced was the start of the Kickstarter campaign for The Wonderful 101 Remastered. The founding of PlatinumGames Tokyo was then announced. The third announcement was Project GG. What the fourth announcement will be is not yet known, but at least there is now a date for the unveiling.

The fans of the studio should, therefore, be particularly attentive on April 1, 2020, and keep an eye on the teaser website. The notorious date, of course, gives the gaming community a hope that the final Platinum 4 announcement by PlatinumGames will not turn out to be an April Fool’s joke.

However, it is clear that PlatinumGames is currently very active in several directions. For example, the studio is developing a new engine for upcoming projects. In addition, the Bayonetta makers would like to tackle completely new genres. For example, they would like to develop live service games in the future.

At this point, it’s hard to imagine what PlatinumGames is planning for its fourth project as part of Platinum 4. In any case, whether it’s a new game, a port of an existing title, a remaster, a collection of PlatinumGames will take care of it 100%, unlike its previous productions. Last month, Atushi Inaba simply stated that the latest project is a secret and that it will match the image of PlatinumGames very well. As for Hideki Kamiya, he had used the word “something unique” during PAX East 2020 to describe this famous project.

As soon as the new details are known, we will, of course, let you know about them. What do you think of it? Tell us in the comments below.
