While the indie scene has focused on creating great titles representing the Metroidvania and Roguelike genre. There are those who seek to revive the glories of shooting games, run and gun, and this weekend Fury Unleashed released its frantic action on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC.
Through a press release and a launch trailer, Awesome Games Studio introduced a comic-themed title called Fury Unleashed. A run and gun game that mixes elements of the platform genre and roguelites with constant action in single-player mode or local cooperative.
Fury Unleashed has 40 bosses and a good number of levels where the constant is to chain combos to increase power and launch increasingly stronger and devastating attacks. A feature that takes up some of the classic vertical and horizontal shooters.
Likewise, Fury Unleashed has a customization system to create our hero and a skill tree to develop us through specific paths, as well as a significant amount of weapons and items to destroy enemies.
Here’s the overview of the game, via Steam https://store.steampowered.com/app/465200/Fury_Unleashed/:
Fury Unleashed was created by combining inspiration from modern roguelite platformers, like Dead Cells and Rogue Legacy, with nostalgic memories of old-school platformer shooters, like Contra and Metal Slug. We have spent five years polishing our creation to make sure that your experience with the game will be as memorable as the aforementioned titles and we wholeheartedly believe that you won’t be disappointed.
The game is available now for purchase for Nintendo Switch at $17.99, $19.99 on Xbox One, and ps4.
