One of the successes of Fortnite: Battle Royale has been to allow its content to be accessible to all players and although there are sometimes limited items or skins, these can be acquired without distinction of the platform.
Hence, there are few cases in which the Epic Games offers content limited to a console, PC, or mobile device. However, it seems like there might soon be some interesting news for Nintendo Switch players.
According to a new data-mined information, the HYPEX data miner found a line of code in Fortnite: Battle Royale that refers to exclusive content or skin coming to the Nintendo Switch. According to the information, the line of code appeared yesterday after the release of Fortnite update 12.60 and shows that specific cosmetic content for Nintendo Switch might be on the way.
If true, it would be the first time that Switch will receive exclusive content from Fortnite: Battle Royale. After the bundle with which the title reached the hybrid console included the Double Helix skin. The pack is named Nintendo Switch: Fortnite – Double Helix Bundle it is priced at $299.99 USD.
The system includes the Neon Joy-Con and some extra digital items for the Battle Royale. Among them are 1000 V-bucks and the Double Helix Set, which consist of a special suit and cosmetic items like the Back Bling, a parachute and a uniquely designed spike.
Fortnite: Battle Royale is available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, and mobile.
