A day back we heard a rumor that GTA 5 will be available to download for free on the Epic Games Store. This excited many GTA fans all over the community, knowing the fact that there was no official confirmation from the Epic Games Store until today. Now, it appears that GTA 5 is indeed coming as free to download the game on the Epic Games Store.
According to an officially promoted tweet from Epic Games which just popped up earlier today and pulled down shortly, confirmed that the Grand Theft Auto 5 will be next free game on the Epic Games Store, the official tweet reads, ”Get Grand Theft Auto V free on PC until May 21.”

However, as I said, the tweet got removed soon after it went live, but not before a screenshot of the original post was taken by Comicbook. You can check out the screenshot below.
As you can see in the screenshot above, the tweet confirms that fans will be able to download GTA 5 for free until May 21 from the Epic Games Store and keep forever. However, it didn’t reveal from which date the game will be available to download for free on the store. Please note that, after the free period, the game will get back to its normal price.
As you might already know, Epic Games free weekly games to its users. Epic has offered many big titles for free in the past but GTA 5 is going to be the biggest giveaway this time. Notably, to download the GTA 5 you will only need to have an Epic Games Store account.
