SystemSoft Beta has announced that Daisenryaku SSB, the latest entry in the long-running war strategy simulation series, will launch on PlayStation 5 in Japan on July 17, 2025, priced at 7,678 yen.
Originally released for PC via Steam in February 2022, followed by PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions in December 2022, Daisenryaku SSB brings its deep, turn-based tactical gameplay to Sony’s next-gen console. The game challenges players to command troops, including tanks and fighter jets, on a hex-based battlefield, emphasizing strategic production and movement to outmaneuver opponents. It features a scenario mode with five missions inspired by recent global events, such as the Taiwan Crisis, alongside a free mode for custom map settings.
A demo, including the classic “Island Campaign” map, will be available on April 24, 2025, allowing players to test the game’s mechanics. Known for its tough AI and intricate strategy, the Daisenryaku series continues to captivate fans of military simulations.
While no Western release has been confirmed, the PS5 version promises enhanced visuals and performance. For more details, visit the official Daisenryaku SSB website or trusted retailers like Play-Asia.
