After the various postponements, Cyberpunk 2077 will finally be officially released shortly. Reason enough for the responsible developers at CD Projekt to talk again about the performance on the consoles at an investor conference.
In line with the upcoming release in around two weeks, those responsible at CD Projekt have given us several new gameplay videos for Cyberpunk 2077 over the past few days. The implementations for the various consoles were also shown in these.
As part of a current investor conference, Adam Kiciński, the CEO of CD Projekt, once again discussed the performance of Cyberpunk 2077.
According to Kiciński, the open world of the role-playing game naturally benefits from the high-performance hardware of the PS5 and the Xbox Series X. Despite everything, the performance of Cyberpunk 2077 should also be surprisingly good on the Xbox One and PS4.
“Yesterday we released the gameplay both on PS4 [Pro] and PS5. So, you can see the difference. And on both — I mean, PS5 is great. PS4 is still very good. I mean, we had those extra three weeks and we achieved a lot by — within this final stretch,” said Kiciński.
“So, we believe that the game is performing great on every platform. Of course, according to platform capabilities, but not every platform should be great,” Kiciński concludes.
Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on December 10, 2020, for the PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Stadia. The game will be upgraded for the PS5 and Xbox Series X in the coming year.
