Cyberpunk 2077 Day One Patch on PS4 and PS5 Will Be 56GB?

There is only a week left until the release of Cyberpunk 2077 but it would seem that the information regarding the highly anticipated open-world RPG developed by CD Projekt RED does not want to stop.

According to what emerged from the well-known video game forum Reddit, some lucky ones have already started receiving their Collector’s Edition, and have well thought of revealing some unpublished details on the latest effort of the Polish software house, including the size of the day one patch.

According to the information that emerged, once the game was inserted on PS4, the user was asked to download a file of 56 GB, news that has greatly alarmed the future holders of the title.

At first glance, the generous update would be attributable to the now inevitable day one patch, but according to the recent statements by Fabian Mario Döhla of CD Projekt Red, the first patch does not yet exist, even if the development team is very likely already at work to solve the main critical issues of the title at launch.

So, it would appear that the 56GB required is actually Cyberpunk 2077’s install size on PS4. CD Projekt Red has not yet released any official statement on the release of a corrective patch on day one.

Waiting to finally get your hands on the highly anticipated action-adventure RPG, we remind you that Cyberpunk 2077 will make its debut on the shelves this December 10, 2020 and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. Later it will also be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, through the release of a substantial update, totally free for those who have purchased a current-gen version of the game.
