So far, there are no official details about the next installment of Call of Duty game. However, there are several reports that tell us what to expect. One of them ensures that the next installment in the popular FPS series could be called Call of Duty: Vietnam.
According to information from Jason Schreier, one of the most recognized journalists in the gaming world. His sources indicate that the next Call of Duty could be called Call of Duty: Vietnam. As its name implies – and other reports already claimed – it would be an FPS that would take place during the Vietnam War and the Cold War.
It is worth mentioning that, contrary to what other sources indicate. Schreier does not believe that the next Call of Duty will be a reboot of the Black Ops subseries. That said, his sources indicate that it will be part of this popular series from the world of Call of Duty.
“I’m not a COD person so I don’t know anything about all the lore shenanigans or what it really means to be a Black Ops game, but one title I’ve heard thrown around a couple of times is just “COD: Vietnam. ” As far as I know it’s part of the Black ops series though? Not sure,” Schreier stated via his Twitter account.
As you know, the world is going through a complicated situation due to coronavirus (COVID-19). This is why, although Call of Duty is an annual series, many believe that there is a possibility that it may be delayed.
What does Jason Schreier say about it? The journalist indicated that, as he knows, the next Call of Duty is still planned to release in the autumn of 2020. However, he acknowledged that the situation is complicated, so things could change at any time.
