A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism Coming to Switch 2 on December 18

Artdink has confirmed that A-Train: All Aboard! Tourism will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 on December 18, 2025, bringing an updated version of the popular city-building game to the new console. The title, which originally debuted on the Nintendo Switch in 2021, will feature enhancements tailored for the Switch 2.

The Nintendo Switch 2 edition will include better pictures and smoother movement, thanks to improved graphics and a higher frame rate. It also introduces a new mode allowing more trains, cars, and design plans, along with two additional story scenarios.

Players can use a mouse or Joy-Con controllers, and the game will have an auto-save feature for convenience. The release will support English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese languages, making it accessible worldwide.

In Japan, the game will be available both as a physical copy with a guidebook and as a digital download, with prices set at 10,406 yen and 9,878 yen respectively. For those who own the original Switch version, an upgrade option will be available for 2,200 yen.

Outside Japan, it’s expected to be digital-only, though no official pricing has been shared yet. Some fans question whether the upgrade’s value matches the cost, given the game’s niche appeal, but the enhanced features have sparked interest among long-time players.
