In a recent announcement, the developers at Bungie gave us a glimpse into the future of the online multiplayer shooter Destiny 2. As it is said, among other things, the community can look forward to the support of the crossplay feature in 2021.
At the end of the video game year 2020, the developers at Bungie enriched the world of Destiny 2 with implementations for the next-generation consoles of Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 as well as the new expansion Beyond Light.
As part of a recent announcement, Bungie gave us a glimpse into the future and announced the first content and features that will find their way into Destiny 2 over the coming year. Not only will the so-called Vault of Glass celebrate a comeback, also, two new strikes in the form of “Fallen SABER” and “Devil’s Lair” are planned, which will be introduced with the 13th season. Unfortunately, Bungie has not given the 13th season of Destiny 2 a specific date.
The same applies to cross-play support, which will follow sometime next year. After the support of cross-saves, there is now also the possibility of forming a group with Guardians who are on another platform outside of their own console family and going into battle together.
With the 14th season, which also has no deadline, the transmogrification becomes the way to Destiny 2. The transmogs, also called “Moggen” for short, enables you to optically revise your armor or your weapon without losing the original values. So you can visually design your guardian individually and at the same time continue to work on your status values.
Destiny 2 is available for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Google Stadia.
